You Can Help Cut Tourism VAT!

The Caterer Licensee and Hotelier are delighted to join the fight and help cut VAT in tourism.

As a longtime critic of the ludicrously high level of VAT paid in Britain compared to other European countries we hope that our voice in support of the CUT TOURISM VAT will make a difference.

However that difference can only be made with the help of you the reader. The Cut Tourism VAT (www.cuttourismvat.co.uk) campaign has some “big hitters in the industry” to support it, trade associations as well as the high profile chain hospitality companies.

We at the Caterer Licensee and Hotelier have always considered ourselves to be the voice of the independents. Businesses that are not tied to anyone, operate independently and are often seen as ‘lone wolves’.

‘Independent businesses’ may be the case, but collectively the sector is the largest group in the hospitality industry and we would very much like this sector to make a real difference.

That can be done acting individually; in each independent outlet rallying support from the business, staff and customers, each individual voice will, however, collectively make a significant impact.

So please get on board, here again is the Cut Tourism VAT website www.cuttourismvat.co.uk we urge you to go to it and compare the rates, our 20% to our European counterparts who pay in some cases as little as 7%. In those countries there has been a surge in eating out and socialising, creating jobs increasing revenue/profits and raising more in taxes.

You can declare your support on the cut tourism VAT website www.cuttourismvat.co.uk and with the help of your staff and customers really help the independent sector become a force to be reckoned with. So, please get on board!!
